David Shrigley has transformed the Gallery at Sketch as part of a long-term programme of artist-conceived restaurants at the iconic London venue.

245 new unique drawings line the restaurant's walls, forming the largest group of original works on paper by the artist to date. His quick-witted drawings and hand-rendered texts are typically deadpan in their humour and reveal chance utterings like snippets of over-heard conversations.

Shrigley has also designed a limited edition set of new ceramic tableware, manufactured by British heritage brand Caverswall. The tableware features Shrigley's distinctive mordant drawings and texts, with inspiration drawn from the cuisine of Master Chef's Pierre Gagnaire.

The drawings are for sale from Stephen Friedman Gallery. Please contact the gallery for more details on: sales@stephenfriedman.com
