David Shrigley's Turner Prize 2013 installation, ‘Life Model', will feature in Art Unlimited at Basel 2015. It is a three metre high sculpture of a naked male model set in a traditional life class drawing room. His youthful features and body are comically disproportioned with over-sized ears and a pointy nose. Standing still on a plinth, his beady eyes occasionally blink with innocent movement and he periodically ‘urinates' into a tin bucket near his feet. Provided with traditional life drawing materials, visitors are invited to draw this oddly shaped model who stands with his left hand on his hip and playfully mimics the stance of Donatello's Renaissance depiction of ‘David'.
