'You Love Me, You Love Me Not' at the Galeria Municipal Almeida Garrett in Portugal is devoted to works from the collection of the renowned Congolese-born art collector Sindika Dokolo. Comprising more than 100 paintings, sculptures, photographs, and videos by 50 artists from Africa and the diaspora, the exhibition attests to Dokolo's role as a promoter of contemporary art in Africa and internationally.

The Sindika Dokolo collection, one of the most important contemporary art collections in Africa, comprises more than 5,000 pieces, from 140 artists, from 28 African countries. This exhibition provides a fascinating insight into the diversity, originality, and brilliance of Dokolo's collecting while at the same time celebrates the depth and breadth of Africa's contemporary art scene.

'You Love Me, You Love Me Not' is organised by curators Suzana Sousa and Leitão Bruno and is a collaboration between the Sindika Dokolo Foundation and the municipality of Porto. In March 2015, Sindika Dokolo was awarded with Medal of Merit by the city of Oporto in relation to the exhibition.

The exhibition runs from 3 May until 17 May 2015.
