1 May 2014
In May 2014, The Henry Moore Foundation in Perry Green will open their most diverse exhibition to date. Following on the heels of 2013's popular 'Moore Rodin' exhibition, 'Body & Void: Echoes of Moore in Contemporary Art' will explore Moore's legacy and feature some of the most recognised names in contemporary art, including Richard Deacon and Damien Hirst alongside gallery artist Paul McDevitt. 'Body & Void' will draw connections between Moore's investigation of internal space and his concept of sculpture as a journey, and reveal how these ideas have been taken in new directions by subsequent generations of artists. Body & Void will offer an alternative trajectory for contemporary art contrasting with the historically accepted view of post-war Avant Garde.

Occupying the Sheep Field Barn gallery and Moore's original carving studio as well as setting work against the verdant backdrop of Moore's sculpture gardens and sheep fields, 'Body & Void' will open on Thursday 1 May, running until 26 October 2014.
