'rivane neuenschwander: misunderstandings' at museo de arte moderna sÃo paulo

2 September 2014
Museo de Arte Moderna de São Paulo will hold 'Rivane Neuenschwander: Misunderstandings', Rivane Neuenschwander's first major solo exhibition in Latin America, opening on 2 September 2014.

Curated by Adriano Pedrosa, the exhibition will explore nature's hidden and often chaotic logic. This is conveyed under the alchemic artistic hand of the artist by using materials like ant-eaten rice paper, coconut powder and ground spices. The exhibition will feature new work alongside some of the artist's most important earlier pieces.

Neuenschwander's works are included in prominent collections internationally, including the Tate Modern, London; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Museu d´Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Barcelona; Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, São Paulo; Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Vienna.

The exhibition runs until 14 December 2014.
