a musuems at night event in partnership with yinka shonibare MBE at the novium theatre, chichester

30 October 2015
The Novium Museum is the winning venue for the Culture 24 national Connect! Museums at Night competition. The prize is bringing award winning artist Yinka Shonibare MBE to Chichester to lead an event at the museum as part of the next Museums at Night festival.

Shonibare will work with The Novium Museum to create Inventive Factory art spaces throughout the museum inspired by local inventor Colin Pullinger, whose own Inventive Factory was based in Selsey. Proposals will be shortlisted by Yinka Shonibare MBE who will also be participating in the event.

The mini-festival of creative arts will explore Shonibare's favourite theme of identity. It will be a collaborative event reaching out across the local community involving students, artists and community groups to create an alternative museum collection.

Museums at Night takes place on Friday 30 October from 4pm until 10pm.
