yinka shonibare MBE and david shrigley in group exhibition at nevada museum of art

27 September 2014
Yinka Shonibare MBE and David Shrigley are included in a group exhibition that explores the preconceptions of the place of animals in culture. 'Late Harvest' juxtaposes contemporary art made with taxidermy with historically significant wildlife paintings, resulting in intriguing parallels and startling aesthetic contrasts.

The exhibition includes ‘Revolution Kid (Fox)’ by Yinka Shonibare MBE and ‘Ostrich’ 2009 by David Shrigley.

'Late Harvest' is organised by the Nevada Museum of Art in consultation with the National Museum of Wildlife Art. The exhibition is curated by JoAnne Northrup, Director of Contemporary Art Initiatives, together with consulting curator Adam Duncan Harris, Ph.D., Petersen Curator of Art & Research, National Museum of Wildlife Art.

'Late Harvest' runs from 27 September 2014 until 18 January 2015.
