Stephen Friedman Gallery is delighted to present Swedish artist Andreas Eriksson's third solo exhibition at the gallery: ‘Kria'. Living and working in Lidköping, Sweden, he is known for the unique way he examines nature and the history of painting to illustrate the quiet beauty that underscores everyday life.

Meaning ‘school assignment' in Swedish, ‘Kria' features new paintings and explores the themes of repetition, the act of looking and the passing of time.

talisman in the age of difference

5 June 2018 - 21 July 2018
Talisman in the Age of Difference is an expansive group exhibition curated by pioneering British artist Yinka Shonibare MBE. This exhibition seeks to explore the power of magic and the subversive beauty in the works of emerging and established artists of African origin and its diaspora. Identity politics are explored by a number of artists in the exhibition, whilst others pursue an alternative path in their shared search for originality, material transformation, spirituality and the sublime.
