Andreas Eriksson's work hovers enigmatically between the poetry of abstraction and representation. A devoted studio based painter, for his third exhibition at the gallery he presents a series of paintings divided into the subject of day and night-time. Based on one source drawing this body of work reflects Eriksson's ability to produce a variety of landscapes inspired by nature. Rendered in a range of rich and complex surface marks, in this new series Eriksson explores the history of painting as well as much wider themes of subjective experience.
