For SP-Arte 2017 Stephen Friedman Gallery presents a specially curated solo exhibition by Swedish artist Andreas Eriksson. This is the first time that Eriksson's work has been shown in Brazil since his inclusion in the 2012 São Paulo Biennial. The artist is known for expressive paintings inspired by the Nordic landscape in which time slows to a halt.

The paintings included in this presentation form part of a new body of work that is characterised by a marked change in the artist's palette. Altogether brighter greens, blues and pinks, red and burnt orange accompany Eriksson's signature earthy hues. These are presented alongside new linen tapestries and unique bronze sculptures.

The preview day is Wednesday 5 April.
