We are pleased to announce that British artist Claire Barclay will be exhibiting a substantial body of work in an Arts Council Collection group show at The New Art Gallery Walsall, curated by Katerina Brown and Caroline Douglas.
Alongside Claire Barclay, Karla Black and Becky Beasley will also be showing works, each bringing to the show an individual take on the way we create meaning through form and line. Borrowed from the artists and private collections, the works explore contrasting materials, methods and dialogues that offer a fresh and particular look at current British sculptural practice.
Installations have been made in a direct response to the gallery space, reflecting the strong relationship with The New Art Gallery Walsall's Garman Ryan Collection which has its roots in British 20th Century Sculpture.
Structure & Material is a Hayward Touring exhibition from Southbank Centre, London.
