Rivane Neuenschwander Contributes to Frieze Projects with On-Going Participatory Performance

Gallery artist Rivane Neuenschwander will contribute to Frieze Projects with an on-going participatory performance inspired by her previous piece The Conversation (2010), presented at the New Museum, New York. With reference to Francis Ford Coppola's 1974 psychological thriller of the same title, The Conversation (2010) featured a series of spying devices hidden within the gallery space, which Neuenschwander searched and revealed, prior to the exhibition's opening.

Frieze Projects is a programme of artists' commissions realised annually at Frieze London. In 2013 it will be curated by Nicola Lees and includes seven specially commissioned projects as well as the Emdash Award. Frieze Projects is supported by the Emdash Foundation.

Neuenschwander's works are included in prominent collections internationally, including the Tate Modern, London; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Museu d´Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Barcelona; Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, São Paulo; Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Vienna.

Frieze Projects will run from 17 until 20 October 2013
