'Up in the Air', by Tom Friedman 
(born in St. Louis, MO, 1965), is the third in a series of site-specific installations at the Lightfall at Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel. Comprising 900 items suspended from the ceiling, at first glance they seem to be ready-made; in fact, they are all painstakingly and carefully hand-crafted. The result is a gigantic, scattered still life, representing the world of objects, forms and images of early 21st century. The installation was first exhibited in 2010 at Magasin III, Stockholm.

The second work is ‘Untitled (Huddle)' 2013, a new sculptural arrangement featuring seven figures made of aluminium foil.

We are delighted to announce that Tom Friedman will be showing 'Circle Dance' 2010 at the Sculpture Park. Inspired by Henri Matisse's painting La Danse, ‘Circle Dance' 2010 consists of a circle of eleven life-sized dancing figures, cast in a highly polished stainless steel.
