Sky Glabush features in the 'Majudia Collection Spring 2025'

Arsenal Contemporary Art, Montreal, Canada

The Majudia Collection showcases artwork from over 500 Canadian and international artists. For Spring 2025 the spaces have been renewed to highlight new creations and aquisitions.

Included in the exhibiton is Sky Glabush's painting Early light at Roblin Lake, the largest he has made to date. The artist suffuses the monumental composition with red and ochre trees that simultaneously obscure and reveal an expansive seascape resplendent with radiating beams of sunlight. The closeness of the tree line, contrasted with the uninterrupted expanse of land behind, draw the viewer into the scene, positioning them on the threshold of the reddish gold morning landscape.

Arsenal Contemporary Art is a private art centre and cultural initiative founded by the patrons Pierre and Anne-Marie Trahan. Its mandate is to support the creation, production and dissemination of contemporary Canadian art through a variety of projects, including exhibitions showcasing Canadian artists alongside international artists that are organised in-house or by guest curators.
