Commissioned in partnership with Cleveland Public Library, 'The American Library' is a new installation featuring 6,000 books, each covered in wax printed batik textile. These are inscribed with names of immigrants with notable contributions to American culture. Alongside the exhibition are web-based documents featuring immigrants and stories uploaded by visitors.
