Holly Hendry presents 'Deep Soil Thrombosis'

For the 15th Lyon Biennale, Holly Hendry has created a structure made of air-conditioning ductwork – a way of laying bare invisible systems, and the mysteries that haunt Lyon’s subterranean realm. Between these sections of ducting, Hendry reveals sculpted forms, each an artefact with simplified cartoonish lines, lying stranded like the fatbergs that build up in sewers.
