'Melvin Edwards' is a solo exhibition by the pioneering African-American artist at Museu da República, Rio de Janeiro. Examples of Edwards' iconic steel sculpture sit alongside works in watercolour to explore the theoretical threads that underly the stylistic diversity of his practice.
The exhibition opens at Museu da República, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil between 16 August-27 October 2019 and travels to Museu de Arte Moderna de Bahia, Salvador, Brazil between 8 November–21 December 2019.
