Holly Hendry presents outdoor public sculpture in Esch-sur-Alzette

As part of European Capital of Culture Holly Hendry presents 'Sump', an outdoor public sculpture commission in Esch-sur-Alzette. Made from painted steel, marble, plywood and Jesmonite, the work responds to a watery site opposite a steel factory in Luxembourg and the differing states of marshland and dried up parkland that it transitions through, throughout the year. The artist describes "thinking about things looping, tumbling, weeping, oozing & bending" when creating the work.
