Yooyun Yang features in 'Korean and Eastern Painting'

'Korean and Eastern Painting' presents the triple turns the term ‘Eastern’ has undergone in order to discuss ‘Eastern’ painting in Korea. The first turn is ‘fine art vs. folk painting’, the second is ‘the past vs. the present,’ and the third ‘Japan vs. Korea’. The artists exhibiting in this show are freed from the traditional categories of ‘Eastern’ and ‘Korean’ painting.

The eight artists participating in this exhibition include Kwon Hye Sun, Kim Hae Sook, Yang Yoo Young, Lee Ye Jin, Lee Eunji, Lee Hee Wook, Choi Ga Young and Choi Soo Ryung.
