Clare Woods: A Tree A Rock A Cloud

‘A Tree A Rock A Cloud’ first launched at Oriel Davies in September 2014, returning with a new body of work by Clare Woods. This exhibition is inspired by the collections of Amgueddfa Cymru, particularly the traditional subjects of historic painting: portraiture, still life and landscape. This touring exhibition across Wales includes further paintings by Woods, responding to Graham Sutherland and John Piper’s work from the same collection.
