Clare Woods: Olympic Park Commission

Clare Woods was commissioned by the Contemporary Art Society to create a ceramic mural for the Olympic Park, London, in 2012. Her abstract colourful mural was painted on aluminium with enamels, before the design was transferred to ceramic tiles. The Olympic park murals used over 88,000 tiles and reflect the manufacturing history as the site of the former Bow tile factory.
