Lehmbruck Museum presents a comprehensive exhibition by Stephan Balkenhol, developed in close collaboration with the German artist. Beginning with his early works from the mid-1980s, the exhibition spans his oeuvre to the present day and includes several works created especially for the exhibition. Numerous drawings and plaster models provide further insights into Balkenhol’s creative process. One highlight is a group of works of 'heads' that were specially made for the exhibition and are on view for the first time.
The exhibition is supported by the National-Bank and the ministry of culture and science of the state of north rhine-westphalia.
