ABC Radio, Thomas Hirschhorn

Thomas Hirschhorn is a Swiss artist whose sprawling DIY works engage with critical theory, global politics and consumerism. This year his Gramsci Monument was installed in a housing estate in the Bronx, while his confronting video work, Touching Reality, has been on show at Brisbane’s Institute of Modern Art.

Hirschhorn's works are held in the collections of New York’s Museum of Modern Art and London’s Tate gallery. Hirschhorn has also represented Switzerland at the Venice Biennale.
