Leilah Babirye contributes bandana design for Black Trans Advocacy Coalition

Gordon Robichaux, New York are donating to Black Trans Advocacy Coalition (BTAC) the proceeds from the sale of a series of six bandanas designed by artists including Leilah Babirye, Matt Connors, Otis Houston Jr, Elisabeth Kley, Matt Paweski, and Tabboo!

Each bandana is 22 x 22 in, hand-screened print on cotton. Published by Gordon Robichaux and Post Present Medium. Available through Post Present Medium

Black Trans Advocacy Coalition Mission is to help improve the black trans human experience by overcoming violence and injustice in the world through the power, value and love of all people! Established in 2011, The Black Trans Advocacy Coalition (BTAC) is the only national organization led by black trans people to collectively address the inequities faced in the black transgender human experience.

BTAC, through their national advocacy center and affiliate state chapters work daily to end discrimination and inequities faced in health, employment, housing and education to improve the lived experience of transgender people. BTAC’s work is based in peace building, community education, public policy initiatives, empowerment programs and direct services.

Black Trans Advocacy Coalition works with communities in the U.S. and across the globe to foster diversity, inclusion and equality for all people and is lead by the Black Transmen, Inc, Black Transwomen, Inc, and  Black Trans MX organizations.
