Yinka Shonibare CBE donates work to campaign auction The Felix Project, London

Sotheby's London Contemporary Art Day Sale

'Unstructured Icons - Aristocrat I' by Yinka Shonibare CBE is one of several works donated to a campaign auction held by Sotheby’s to support those facing food poverty as a result of the COVID-19 crisis (Lots 880-887). These works, donated by British artists including Anish Kapoor, Tracey Emin and Bridget Riley, are being sold to raise funds for a new community kitchen in London as part of the Evening Standard's 'Food for London Now' and The Independent's 'Help the Hungry' campaigns, in partnership with The Felix Project.

Sotheby’s senior director Oliver Barker said: “We are grateful to the artists who have generously contributed their works and we’re looking forward to channelling part of the excitement of our major sales in London this month into a cause which will provide food and comfort to the capital’s most vulnerable.”
