David Shrigley is included in 'Figure up' Presented by Perennial Art

'Figure up' is a group exhibition at Berlin con mucho arte (BcmA) which examines the relationship between popular culture and contemporary figurative drawing. The works on display reference popular film, novels, music, fashion, cartoons and social media to explore complex and weighty themes from colonial power and racism to homelessness and issues of gender identity. 

Artists featured in the exhibition include: Marc Brandenburg, Laura Bruce, Upsidogi Son Sea, Ali Fitzgerald, Andrew Gilbert, Euan Gray, Marie Harnett, Helena Hernandez, Paul McDevitt, David Shrigley, Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and Witte Wartena. 

Included in the exhibition are Shrigley's animations, 'The Artist', 'Sleep' and 'The Door'.
