Andreas Eriksson features in 'Towards another world. 25 years of Swedish contemporary art'
Overview
In a curated selection of the Stone Foundation's twenty-five-years of cultural scholars, group exhibition ‘Towards another world. 25 years of Swedish contemporary art - Sten A Olsson's Cultural Scholarship’ showcases a dynamic and multifaceted period of Swedish art history. This retrospective features both older and newly produced works, including paintings, sculptures, textiles, film, photography and site-specific installations.
The works on display come from both the Stone Foundation's own collection and the Gothenburg Art Museum's collection. Curated by Magnus af Petersens, the exhibition is shown in three sections, each reflecting different approaches to art; art as a critical contemporary mirror, the artist's exploration of means of expression and the artist as the creator of new worlds.
The presentation features 15 of the visual and design artists who have so far received the Stone Foundation's cultural scholarship. Contributors include: Katarina Andersson, Lotta Antonsson, Jonas Dahlberg, Nathalie Djurberg / Hans Berg, Andreas Eriksson, Jens Fänge, Hilda Hellström, Henrik Håkansson, Axel Karlsson Rixon, Kent Lindfors, Jenny Magnusson, Mandana Moghaddam, Ida-Lovisa Rudolfsson and Jörgen Svensson.
