The World Reimagined Charity Auction

'The World Reimagined' is a ground-breaking, national art education project to transform how the Transatlantic Slave Trade is understood and its lasting impact on all of us. More than 100 large-scale globes were installed in several cities across the UK from August to October 2022, each bearing the commentary of artists and creatives both on the slave trade, as well as their past, present and future relationships with Britain.

Yinka Shonibare CBE RA’s globe is on view alongside 95 others at Trafalgar Square on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November 2022. Eighteen of the globes including Shonibare's will be auctioned by Bonhams in support of the charitable project.
