Sky Glabush: The Kingdom of Names

Since 2011, Sky Glabush has been developing a body of work informed by a close investigation of materiality as a conduit between the body and language. Although he is best known for his large, intricate paintings of Ontario landscapes, over the course of the past two years, Glabush has turned his focus to an exploration of materials in which subject matter is not only what happens between artist and artwork, but is also the result of that which is formed and which informs both artist and viewer.
