Yinka Shonibare CBE RA features in 'Tales for a Stranger'

The Warehouse by Maruni Mercier, Zaventem, Belgium

In 'Tales for a Stranger', curator Azu Nwagbogu explores the aftermath of the pandemic through the work of a range of contemporary artists. The exhibition platforms the freedom, vulnerability and restoration to be found in these works, offering them as a unifying force in the wake of the grief and upheaval of the past few years. It seeks to draw strangers together, and highlights where changes might be made in outdated, pre-pandemic systems.

The group exhibition features works by Ayọ̀ Akínwándé, Anas Albraehe, Joël Andrianomearisoa, Ojo Ayotunde, Ofunne Azinge, Jaclyn ConleyCristina de Middel, Omar Victor Diop, Victor Ehikhamenor, Esiri Erheriene-Essi, Johnson Eziefula, Jeanne Gaigher, Kate Gottgens, Miles Greenberg, Ryan Hewett, Kudzanai-Violet Hwami, Dozie Kanu, Nate Lewis, Neo Matloga, Odili Donald Odita, Emeka Ogboh, Yinka Shonibare, Kasper Sonne, and Alberta Whittle.
