Sarah Ball releases a new limited edition print with Migrate Art
A new limited edition print Megascops Stangaie (2025) by Sarah Ball will be released by Migrate Art on 10 July 2025.
Migrate Art is a UK-based social enterprise and charity dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of art to support marginalised, displaced and Indigenous communities globally. They partner closely with the communities it serves—refugees, Indigenous groups in the Amazon, and the homeless—by visiting their sites, volunteering, and building long-term relationships with grassroots organisations. The charity’s model involves commissioning bespoke artworks, limited-edition prints, and exhibitions, then channelling all profits into vetted local charities, including RefuAid, Refugee Community Kitchen, The Lotus Flower, and The Disasters Emergency Committee. Through this art-for-impact approach, Migrate Art has established itself as a pioneering force in socially engaged art, proving that creative collaboration can generate substantial humanitarian aid and lasting connections between the art world and communities in need.
On Megascops Stangaie Ball says “This little owl (Xingu Screech Owl) is endemic to the Xingu region and was only discovered in 2021. Although it is new to science it is already in danger of disappearing forever due to the illegal deforestation. The story of this tiny creature and its potentially short existence in our knowledge felt so incredibly poignant to me.”
