Jonathan Baldock features in Poor Things

Sculptural works by 22 artists working across the UK form this group exhibition dedicated to conversations surrounding art and social class. They root sculpture in the repercussions of class, considering the wealth of time and materials that define creative potential and posing the decisions made in the making process as a starting point for fruitful discussions around society and opportunity. Curators Emma Hart and Dean Kenning explain, 'We believe that sculpture itself in its thingness – the way it occupies the same ground as the viewer and often makes use of ordinary stuff – and its relation both to manual construction and common forms of making and craft, offers a powerful means by which to question how class impacts on and is expressed through artistic practice.' The exhibition features work by artists including Jonathan Baldock, Simeon Barclay, Chila Burman, Rebecca Moss and Laura Yuile.
