Screening of Rivane Neuenschwander's 'Quarta-Feira de Cinzas'
Living Canvas at Wilton Park, Dublin, Ireland
Rivane Neuenschwander's work 'Quarta-Feira de Cinzas/Epilogue', produced with Cao Guimarães, is screened as part of Living Canvas at Wilton Park. Film pieces by a range of international artists exploring themes surrounding the environment, and its possible futures, are displayed for visitors to coincide with World Earth Day on 22 April.
'Quarta-Feira de Cinzas' translates to Ash Wednesday. The work offers a ground level view of ants carrying coloured confetti across the Brazilian rain forest floor. As the ants and confetti increase, their collaborative patterns emerge.
Neuenschwander is featured alongside film makers Siobhán McDonald, Thomas Léon, Kevin McGloughlin, Emilija Škarnulytė and Wilm van Egmond.
