'Women in Revolt! Art, Activism and the Women’s movement in the UK 1970–1990' is the first of its kind – a major survey of feminist art by over 100 women artists working in the UK. It explores how networks of women used radical ideas and rebellious methods to make an invaluable contribution to British culture.

'In Brillaint Light' showcases contemporary works by African artists alongside masteprieces from the museum's collection.

'Caspar David Friedrich: Art for a New Age’ presents some of Friedrich's most important paintings and drawings in dialogue with a selection of contemporary works, 250 years after Friedrich's birth.

To celebrate Museum Jumex's 10 year anniversary, the museum has invited Lisa Phillips, the Director of the New Museum in New York, to curate an exhibition from the collection occupying the entire building. 

Curated by curator Freya Chou, writer and editor Brian Kuan Wood, and curator Reem Shadid, this year’s iteration of Taipei Biennial will bring together over 50 international and local artists and musicians, transforming the museum into a space of listening, gathering, improvising, and exploring alternative ways to perceive and apply what we learned from the recent pandemic.

The artist, Caroline Coon, was part of the early Punk scene and the author of one of the first books on Punk, '1988: The New Wave Punk Rock Explosion' (1977). Her photographs are an important, intimate record of its heady early days.

Clare Woods designed a large scale, site-specific, watercolour mural for River Bend, a re-development project in the Design District of Dallas, Texas.

'Contested Bodies' brings together work by more than 40 artists from across the gender spectrum.  The exhibition understands that gender is socially constructed and performed. It is not an innate aspect of someone’s identity. The presentation attempts to create a space where each artist has the freedom and power to perform gender in a way that feels right to them.

Artist Caroline Walker will be in conversation with one of Denmark’s leading contemporary novelists, Olga Ravn. In their conversation they will explore motherhood, narrative, self-care and how this manifests in their creative practices.

'Au bout de mes rêves' translates to 'at the end of my dreams'. The exhibition brings together works from the Vanhaerents Art Collection at the Tripostal in Lille, a former post sorting office. The latest in a series of major international exhibitions in Lille begun in 2007, the presentation seeks to platform some of the most exciting contemporary artists working today. The exhibition promises that where there are dreams, there is hope for change.

Bringing together more than 120 artworks spanning painting, photography, sculpture and film, 'Real Families: Stories of Change' asks us to consider what makes a family today, and the impact our families have on us, through the eyes of contemporary artists.
